About "Shivery" ~

It started out In 2004, with the brainwave of haunting riffs, melodies & words, hived and hatched by Singer & Guitar player Paul Obertelli. After touring the USA with his old band Flight 16 who formed at school and released a record on Sony 550 in the US, Putting out many memorable performances supporting Jerry Cantrel, Cold, Finger Eleven, Days of the New, Incubus & The Goo Goo Dolls.

After the band came to an end, Then came the grief of having to get out of a bogus management contract. When the rains where finally cut Paul went into Hibernation and slowly built up his own studio set up where he come out with a pile of new ideas and performed a load of gigs with Chris and Jules (his old drummer and bass player from Flight 16), calling the project “The Super Dead” they managed to be selected for XFM unsigned, Also making it as the 3rd highest selling unsigned band at Fopp Records for several months.

In November 2006 Paul parted from his old colleagues and teamed up with Bass player Matt Miles who after touring Europe with various bands and then promoting music venues, jumped on board and began recording and performing some acoustic gigs with Paul… As well as going out and getting totally shit faced together in Croydon, a new force had been created!.

Shivery are now busy at work after bringing James Taylor (Drummer) into the fold and coming up with new ideas freshly served from recent inspirations that are sparked by old and new rock n roll influences and modern awakenings, The music digs deep, but keeps the message simple and clear, enjoying a smile and a cry all in time to a massive beat.
